Rain-diamonds, this winter morning,
embellish the tangle of unpruned pear-tree twigs;
each solitaire, placed, it appears,
with considered judgement,
bears the light beneath the rifted clouds —

Indivisible inestimable abundance —
as belighted jewels
descend from heaven
to adorn the plain and meager
