Frost-crisp

Listen.
With faint dry sound,
Like steps of passing ghosts,
The leaves, frost-crisp’d, break from the trees
And fall.

  1. I know nada about the intricacies of good photography but I’m constantly amazed by the pictures on your site — especially those that depict Nature and precipitation of any kind. Today’s selection of frost-encrusted leaves is something that I have never seen. And the recent pics of raindrops caught in mille- or perhaps nano-seconds are almost surreal. Occasionally I can view a picture (nature habitat or human being) and see beneath or beyond what is intended to be seen by using my imagination. A talented photographer makes that so much clearer by teasing my imagination. Hope this observation makes sense. I don’t know any other way to describe it.

As we age, it happens that we sometimes have difficulty remembering exact words or phrases regardless of the source. Pictures, however — especially memorable ones — seem to be etched in our minds forever.

Thank you, beautiful woman, for the beauty of your pictures and words that enrich my life every day.

  2. Beautiful photos! Thank you for posting. Perfect for the last day of November as we go into meteorological winter. I love that poem as well, I originally saw it in The Old Farmers Almanac and googled it today, finding your site! Serendipity!
