Just had to share one of my crankier November daily posts from my other blog “Hankerings”

  1. Somehow I missed the Hankerings blawg of yours; how’d that happen?; it’s great stuff, of course. re: your reference to annie dillard in posting; got down “Pilgrim at Tinker Creek” for a re-reading during the holidays. Such a strange book and even Eudora Welty wrote in her review of it: “Sometimes I have no idea what she’s talking about.” But EW liked it just the same.

  2. I agree about Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, Paul. I pull it off the shelf every so often to dip in once again, little bit by little bit. Sometimes I’m completely perplexed by Annie’s observations, but she makes me like the state of perplexation nonetheless!
