Weep for Wonder

Sure on this shining night
Of star made shadows round,
Kindness must watch for me
This side the ground.
The late year lies down the north.
All is healed, all is health.
High summer holds the earth.
Hearts all whole.
Sure on this shining night I weep for wonder wand’ring far alone
Of shadows on the stars.

  1. Such beautiful imagery, Emily.

I believe that all tears shed on holy, sacred ground emanate from an overburdened — or sometimes from an ecstatic soul. In either case, they serve as a much-needed relief valve. In His Mercy and Understanding of our needs, our Creator-God has thought of everything – right down to the tiniest droplet of a tear – that will ensure our soul’s growth to wholeness.
