The Known Place

We are more together
than we know, how else could we keep on discovering
we are more together than we thought?
You are the known way leading always to the unknown,
and you are the known place to which the unknown is always
leading me back. More blessed in you than I know…
~Wendell Berry from “The Country of Marriage”

  1. As I understand the significance of Hebrew biblical numerology, the number 33 is double perfection! Very appropriate for your marriage. Way to go, Emily and Dan! Young people out there: take notice – it does work!

  2. What nice memories and lovely photos! We are 29 years on 9-7! Hard to believe! Thank you for showing what a Christian marriage is. Thank you for inviting us to stay at your home and stay in your guest quarters! I got some ideas I want to use in our guest room for the anticipated hospitality we expect this year. Thank you for introducing me to Hood Crest Fruit! I have also introduced it to others. Thank you for inviting us to your church and to see you in action with the high school young people… they are blessed to have you. We have been blessed to know you. Thank you for inviting me to read your blog. I enjoy it!

  3. ” Together wing to wing and oar to oar.” Elinor Frost’s epitaph, chosen by Robert from “The Master Speed,” a poem he wrote in 1936 for his daughter’s wedding.
