Ditto-ing Karen. I shared your post with with my husband, our daughters, and our priest. Our Orthodox churches also are “divided” over this issue, with a lot of bitterness, people leaving the church, etc. It is a serious schism and just plain awful. Perhaps your words will gently help those who are blinded to the concerns of others open their eyes. Thank you for this.
